Industrial Push Back Racking Systems
High Density, Efficient Storage With Push Back Rack Systems
A push back racking system utilizes wheels in the rack structure, allowing palletized goods and materials to be stored by being pushed up a gently graded ramp. Stored materials are allowed to flow down the ramp to each aisle with deep storage at each rack level and a Last-In/First-Out (LIFO) storage benefit.
Pallets are placed on rolling carts, which slide
from front of the rack to rear of the rack. As new pallets are
loaded into the push back rack from the
aisle side of the rack system, existing pallets are pushed
to the rear to make space. Standard forklifts are utilized
in push
back rack applications and provide a cost effective
alternative when Last-In/First-Out (LIFO) inventory rotation
is used.
Pallets on a push back racking system are stored two to
six pallets deep providing more storage space with fewer
aisles than conventional selective
pallet rack. Push back
racks also allow greater selectivity than drive
in racks,
while providing excellent utilization of storage positions.
