NFIB Leadership Council Names New Chair

Greg Brown of W.W. Cannon, Inc. to Lead Advisory Group

Greg Brown, president and owner of W.W. Cannon, Inc., has been selected to chair the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) Texas Leadership Council.

The NFIB is a nationwide small business advocacy group. The Leadership Council, which met in San Antonio in February, brings in members from across the state of Texas to discuss legislative and public policy issues that impact small businesses.

Greg Brown, president of W.W. Cannon, gives presentation at NFIB TexasChairman Brown, as a longstanding member of the Leadership Council, has advocated for tax reform, provided testimony and spoken to media outlets, including a recent feature on PBS News Hour. He has also provided support for NFIB’s Young Entrepreneurs Awards Fund.

Brown’s business, W.W. Cannon, Inc., is a material handling and storage equipment distributor based in Dallas, Texas. He currently employs 30 people.

According to the NFIB website, Brown has “played a crucial role in being the voice of small business in Texas.” He has been a member of NFIB since 2005 and was named “Member of the Month” in 2015.

Brown replaces Chairman Michael Smith of STA Wealth Management, who retired in February.

Brown encourages all small business owners to utilize the hashtag #SmallBizVoter when supporting small business during the Texas primaries.
