Safety Gate Options For VRC Material Lifts

Maintaining safety and efficiency while loading and unloading pallets and/or equipment requires the right safety gate suited for your application. Our qualified material handling specialists will be able to identify the best-practice solution that will work perfectly for you. All of our gate options meet applicable codes and are equipped with elevator style, electro-mechanical door locks for superior performance and durability.

All material lifts are required by ANSI/ASME B20.1 code to have enclosures and gates at each stop or landing. Each application should be examined for adherence to national, state and local codes.

VRC Gate Options

VRC Gates Bi-Parting Swing

  • Requires 8' vertical clearance at either level
  • Meets ANSI/ASME B20.1 safety standards
  • Rigid steel construction
  • Gate panels are constructed of flattened expanded metal in a tube and angle framing
  • Heavy-duty, maintenance free hinges
  • Gate panels are latched using an electro-mechanical interlocking device
  • No solenoids to fail
  • Best used where space is a premium (10-ft. max. width recommended)
  • Ships disassembled with anchors and assembly hardware provided

VRC Gates Single Panel Vertical

  • Meets ANSI/ASME B20.1 Safety Standards
  • Rigid steel construction
  • Gate panel is counterweighted and constructed of flattened expanded metal in a tube and angle framing
  • Heavy duty roller chain and sprockets
  • Gate panel is latched using an electro-mechanical interlock
  • No lifting cables to break or solenoids to fail
  • Best used where isle space is minimal with no height restrictions (12-ft. max. width recommended)
  • Ships disassembled with anchors and assembly hardware provided
